I've just now discovered the genre of post-enhancing, IBTL replies.

I also see tons of folks that have post counts well into the 10,000s. In my years here, i've lurked and read lots of useful info and replies from many of these folks. Some of them don't ring a bell at all, however.

So.

What percentage of the average 10,000-post-plus member's post count would you estimate is composed of IBTL and similar post-whore-esque fun?

What sort of half-life do you give this thread?

I very, very rarely do that kind of thing.

Most of my post count comes from answering the same questions dozens of times.

Yes. And that's what made me think of it. I see a hell of a lot of '+1,' 'IBTL,' and 'Tagged.'

Tag actually serves a very usefull purpose for team members, a good thread shows up in "my active topics" then.

If you look, most of the time it is the same ones that type "Dupe" all of the time

I can count on one hand how many IBTL's I have

Most of the time its the member responding in a way that depicts an average responce because they know if they type in IBTL it is only an IBTL and not just a typical responce leading to the other board members just skimming over and not noticing that its just another IBTL in disguise

Kinda like this one...except this one is a +1 in disguise to the original post
