What program burns a .img file to a dvd?

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - What program burns a .img file to a dvd?

I have nero 6.6 and it did not list this file. I clicked show all files and then it is burning this one in mode 1 I think. What program is susposed to burn this? It's susposed to be a copy of a dvd with family video on it.

I think that .img is used for backup image files. Something like Drive Image 7 would be able to open the file.

Worst case would be to install Dameon tools www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/portal.php and mount the image then ‘copy’ it with Nero on the virtual drive it creates.

Most likely it’s a CloneCD image but Daemon tools will mount it as a CD/DVD drive and you could install from there too.

If I remember correctly you don't burn img files like normal (drag-drop-burn) you need to tell the burner that you want to burn an image. Not sure where its at but try opening the burner to the window where you can drag files into it to burn then look in the "File" menu & see if there is a burn image option. If all else fail there should be an online help that should show you.
