so now apple comes out with a new 1 gig flashmemory player, is this really better than their older 1 gig hard drive player?  they both cost the same. is flash better than hard drive?

the reason this question even came up for me is because prior to my owning an ipod, i owned a cheapo mp3 player which really sucks.  the music has some kind of flutter at the begining of a song, there is an occasional beep during playback, etc., etc., etc,.  It's really not that great.

my ipod, however, is the cats ass.  and it has a hard drive.  

so. if i opt for their new flashdrive model, will i get a crappy product like my non hard drive mp3 player?
