I'm stuck at home thanks to the stupid hurricane. Hopefully will be returning offshore sometime later in the week.

8 PM - 6 AM across the weekend.

Yeah, I know, you guys are all jealous of my great schedule.

The only thing worse than working nights is.....

Having a job were you rotate through different shifts throughout the year.

On my job, I'll do a week of day shifts, a week of evening shifts, and then a week of nights. This cycles over and over all year round.

just got off the revolving days thing a few weeks back, I was working 1st shift one day,2nd the next and then 3rd shift in a four day week, man it sucked about as bad as what I'm doing now, the crew I'm on went from 11 people a couple of weeks ago to 4 now, and we got to man the shop 24/7.

0000-1000, but i have plenty to do. i was stuck in a boring ass, surf the net all day job for a while, and i feel your pain. there is only so much arfomming you can do in one sitting before you want to gouge the nearest writing instrument in your eye.

the rest of the net ain't much help, either.

I mean dont get me wrong, its a good stepping stone in this company. But your right, theres only so many websites I can goto and only so much on TV.... Once im able to find me a cheap laptop ill be playiang Diablo 2 though. But till then, im bored. I may come up with some sort of small work out routine and try and get in shape, or I may just sleep. Who know.

Have to agree here.

Just started a 1900-0730 job . . . my first night and I want to gouge out my eyes already.

Also on my days off I am a firefighter for a local fire dept.

Telecom (VoIP) consulting. I don't reguarly work nights, but cutovers often keep me awake till the wee hours of the morning. I'm filling out expense reports and entering billable time at the moment. Woo hoo!
