You could've also included .38/.357 and .380's.  There are quite a few carriers of those calibers.

I carry both .45 and .357/.38 depending upon clothes worn.

.45 or .357/.38 off duty but its a .40 on the job

mainly .45ACP,  but do carry .32ACP and 9mm when situation dictates.

7.62X51 out of my FAL pistol.

9mm for me.   Only a SIG 239-sized weapon will conceal on me.   So, that leaves me the choice of 9mm or .40, and I really don't see the advantage of .40.  9MM on the other hand is a well proven round that you'll always be able to find.

9mm cause I can afford to practice.

9 mm so I can afford to practice .

If you don't practice with it,it's a noise maker .

10mm Auto.  135 NJHP at ~1600fps for ~760fpe.

That is out of a G29

BTW - "Overpenetration" is not a concern with this round (handloaded) because it basically explodes inside of the target, won't go through a 1 liter pop bottle.

My primary is my home-built custom 1911 in .45 a.c.p. My backup (not necessarily carried at the same time as my 1911, just my second gun for carry) is an FN 1922 in .380. I'm a little more dubious about the .380 but since I can put it in a B.G.s tearduct at 50 feet I think it'll do the trick.

How do you not see an advantage in the .40 S&W? Using the same type of ammo in both calibers, the .40 is a more potent round. I still say though, carry whatever you are best with so if it works for you, I don't see a problem.

ETA: Can't carry concealed in KS.

I carry a Colt Delta Elite(10MM) because I don't want them getting back up.

155 gr Gold Dot @ 750 ft lb/1475 fps.

Beat that you wimpy 9mm or 40 short and weak.

Either 9mm or .45.

I need a slimmer, more compact .45.

I carry nine for the most part.
But in the summer months when dressing light i go with a kel-tec.32.

i just don't see the need that some people have to carry .45. They must be crappy shots!!
(now i'll strap on my flame retardant clothing for the flame war).
