They just did this writ large in Zimbabwe and you would think that SA would have paid attention and learned. Zimbabwe went from producing a large percentage of the grain in Southern Africa with white farmers operating to importing 60% + of ALL foodstuffs. Bad Mphela . . . what a dip. My parents are going to be pissed that this is going on . . . they live for 3-5 month uot of the year in SA. ETA: Zimbabwe (Robert Mugabe) gave their farms to 'veterans' of the Rhodesian conflict. Most of these men were not born at the time the conflict took place or were too young to have participated. Completely uneducated about how to run farms they have not even suceeded in subsistence level operation of the farms. Mugabe is, BTW, a Cold War era dictator. |

We'll be too old to recolonize, but when our grandchildren hit their twenties, there will only be about 2500 people alive in Subsaharan Africa, so the next great adventure in civilization will proceed without interference.

Well they are just getting land back that was stolen from them, what's wrong wiith that? also they are'nt seizeing it they are paying money for it. And lastly we do the same thing here! Some guy in Floriida was FORCED to sell his land to Gubmint so they could turn a swamp into a park preserve.

Zimbabwe has been confiscating "White Farms" and
killing their owners for years. A mass exodus of Whites from Zimbabwe had occured in 2003. NOW after the farms have been run by "natives" the country, once the "bread basket" of Africa is in a famine... Poetic justice.. I believe that between AIDS and economic regression, all but a handful of Africans will die of disease or starvation. The remnant will be re-civilized, live on the fringes of civilization, or die of diseases re-introduced to the continent by non-African settlers. I don't think any of that's a good thing, by the way. I believe that every human being is at least as valuable as I am. However, I can read and think. Stupid choices lead to bad results. |

Why? It isn't so much a "race Thing" (IE; black Africans are inferior to white Africans when it comes to farming) as it is the fact that "Most" of the people who live in South Africa are tribal/socialist morons who'll most likely repeat the stunning results of tribla/socialist morons around the world who've gone down that road  It's all good though, the (Great Satan) USA stands ready to up those grain shipments anytime anyone asks

I figure it'll be another two, three generations tops before tribal warfare, AIDS from all the child-rape and monkey sex, plague from poor hygeine, and famine from giving farms to dumb fuckers will wipe out most of sub-saharan Africa.
In the meantime, the U.N. will demand that the U.S. send money to those poor people, imbezzle most of it, then give it to the corrupt African governments that will imbezzle the rest and screw the general population over yet again. "Peacekeepers" will be sent in to start illegal child prostitution and pornography rings, imbezzle any remaining funds, and make fun of the dumb Americans. So... Anyone want to organize an expedition to the Dark Continent and stake out some land while we can? We'll form the Republic of ARFCOM and make the GNP the arms trade. There should still be some there when we colonize the ruined wastelands. Let's get there before the U.N. starts divying out national borders! |

The land was "taken" from no one...most of the blacks in SA were moved into SA by farmers and indusrialists looking for cheap labor. The only real natives there were the "San"...the bushmen...who are NOT a part of the current government, and never will be.
This is only a first step in the seizure process. There will still be several appeals yet. For the few who understand it, however, it is very interesting that the SA Farm Union had their annual meeting a few weeks ago and...for the first time ever...sang the old Boer war song "The Cry of Young South Africa"...things just might liven up there before this is over with! They have seen Zimbabwe and they do NOT intend to follow in its footsteps. For better or worse, you can be assured that Africa will most csrtainly not starve completely nor be brought to its knees by AIDS. Too many people on the continent, and they are as tough as nails. There are more than just one or two who have immuinity to AIDS...and there will be for any other virus or disease you can think of also. Africa is fucked up by anyone's standards, but it is NOT going away, and the exact same issues will be right there 100 years from now. |

AFAIK the only real "indigenous" people in South Africa are the Zulus, and most of the blacks living in South Africa today are NOT Zulus. Much of South Africa was EMPTY when the Boers and Brits started to settle it. It wasn't like huge numbers of people were necessarily dispossed, or land "stolen" from them for white farms and ranches - like in the U.S. for example. Even under the days of hard-core apartheid, South Africa had HUGE immigration, as Africans from all over desperately wanted to move to SA, since their economy was strong and there were jobs - and no civil war and savagery. |
