I've been thinking about this -

You know how some people have really strange ideas?

Like these liberals who think that we should let all the prisoners out of jail?

Totally nutty stuff like that.

Of all the weird political/social viewpoints, gun-owning NRA haters are the strangest.

Every notice how when an NRA bashing thread starts, the NRA bashers are really angry and spiteful about the NRA?

Like as if the NRA stole money from their wallet or bitch slapped them or something.

Like they HATE the NRA.

Really weird!!

Gun owners in other countries are being disarmed.

There is a full scale war against gun owners in the USA.

The reason we have guns isn't because some random guys sat around bitching on the internet.

Isn't it true that :

The only group getting anything done is the NRA?

The NRA isn't perfect, but who is?  Isn't something better than nothing?

Isn't the NRA one of the most talked about lobby groups?

Isn't the NRA hated and feared by the liberals?

Can you name an instance when another gun group has gotten anything done?

Isn't the NRA the biggest anti-gun group?

Isn't the yearly membership fee actually very low?

Can't you just throw the junk mail away with all the other junk mail you get?

If you don't want to join the NRA, can't you at least support them a little, since we're on the same side?

If the NRA does not support your pet cause, how does destroying them help?

If the NRA has done nothing about asault rifles in California, wouldn't it be best to increase the number of California members?  Instead of reducing them?

Isn't the American Rifleman magazine actually a pretty decent mag?

What possible good could come from destroying the NRA or reducing the number of members?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know.  I just don't get it.

This "destroy the NRA" idea seems crazy.

Any way you look at it, it's totally illogical.

I'm not saying the NRA is perfect!!!!  But come on, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Thank you. I never understood why people join the NRA after they do "something." The NRA needs numbers to do anything.
