So, the levee in the poor areas of New Orleans (9th ward) are repaired by dumping dirt and rocks in the gaps.  The 17th Street Canal levee, in a wealthier area, had the added benefit of metal sheet piles.  The poor area's levee failed, flooding these already-devastated neighborhoods once again.  The rich area's levee held.

Let the race-card playing begin!

The levee in the 9th ward did not fail... it is still there. The water went over the top of it.

Aha!  So the 17th Street Canal was repaired to a higher level?

Regardless, I'm just dreading the calls of racism from "black leaders" pointing to the fact that the poor areas of town flooded again.

Hey lets not let something as small as facts get in the way of another chance for Al, Jessie and Louis to play the race card, come on now you know better then that.

Repeat after me:
This was only allowed to happen because they are poor and black. If they were rich or white it wouldn't have been allowed to happened.
