Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need a BAREBONES computer

OK, I'm reasonably computer literate, but just enough to get myself in trouble usually.

I am looking for a good swite to buy a Case, Motherboard, Chip, and Memory.
I need to run XP, and it needs 256 MB memory.
I also need a large HD.
This system will be used to run a video card for a security system and nothing else.
It does not have to be high end CPU speed, but it does need to be stable.
Proabably anything over 2.0 GHz. would be sufficient.

I would really appreciate the help.

Dell has computers for like 300 bucks now. Check them out.
