All Bush's fault.
Edited to add, this means all the shitbags that buy CMP Garands just to sell at gunshows will now have to raise their prices in turn. Damn, this capitalism shit sure works to screw up my gun buying. Oh yeah, why is it that K-31's, which cost a for-profit importer a good bit of coin to buy and have shipped here, through alot of paperwork and hassle, cost $90 even tho they are wonderful guns and made in relatively small numbers - yet these Garands (made in the millions) that WE PAID FOR, and are being returned from lend-lease, and are being sold to us by the CMP to further marksmanship and allow us a "cheap" rifle towards that goal cost $500+????? Anyone care to hazard a guess? |

Not so beautiful right now. It's in the garage in pieces. Sanded it down, shot it in primer and am waiting for the weather to cool of a little so I can shoot it in viper yellow.

man, you really do suck. i am still mad about the stock 1985 FJ60 i got rid of years ago. i need to get a FJ40 badly. love those damn things. and a garand. yeah, that's it. damn CMP!

I can remember having three sets of Garands set up in the proper stacking swivel style in my living room, amde it ahrd to walk through it but damn was it a nice sight to see
I need to get a bunch of garands again. Though I do still love my H&R |

I guess I will put off the Eotech and the Ipod and get my Garand. I have been alagible for almost a year now.
I will probly get a rack grade or a service grade. Im working at MidwayUSA now so I can get parts for cheap. |

yep one of the USGI rack grades.
Get the new CMP furnature, rebarrel it, respring it and repark it. It will be as good as new. |
