Frige strongly suggested that I NOT fire the Garand... .....after the shot gun knocked be back, and bruised my shoulder.

Nope. a non-detachable mag disqualifies the Garand from AW status. Besides, the AW ban here doesn't cover bayos or bayo lugs. |

Shooting the Garand is a treat, very little recoil compaired to a shotgun. You should try it, I think you will want one afterwards
