For smoking, or utility, what is your fire maker of choice?

I'll set a good example, and show mine.

Zippo - never lets me down.

These matches really suck.  I got them at a gun show and you can't even light them on the box.

I'm too lazy to look for a pic, but I used to have one that looked like three sticks of dynamite.

I would post a pic of my Jim Beam Zippo, but I'm too lazy to look for it to even take a pic.

I usually go for those oval Bic lighters. I tear off the child safety over the wheel and I'm ready to go. I dont smoke, so I use lighters just to light fireworks off, zippos suck balls trying to light anything but a cig. with, they are cool though.

I'm sold on zippos - the mistique, the utter reliability, the fact that my shamrock zippo gets the ladies naked - no lie.

However, I keep strike anywhere matches, bics, and a jet butane lighter lying around for emergencies and backups.

I actually sign up for a photobucket account, for this particular reason, so I can share with everyone, and nobody posts a pic of their damn lighter?!?!

I don't have a (nice) lighter... YET. This thread has inspired me, I just ordered a Zippo in matte black, no logo. Who knows why I don't have one already, being the pyromaniac I am.

Here's my current Zippo:

It's OK, I guess.  Gift.  It's probably the 15th or 16th I've owned, so I kinda quit worrying about a cool one.  I do have an "American Embassy-Riyadh, Saudi Arabia" one, but the pic with the Saudi and US flags started wearing off so I quit carrying it.  Can't get another one of those too easy.

I have no idea who made it.  I got it from my great-grandfather, an army surgeon.  It's marked with a "US" and Medical Corps insignia.

It's machined tubular brass, works just like a zippo, uses their fuel/flints, and has a little brass cap on a chain.

My grandad carried it everywhere along with a .41 Long Colt revolver.   Got that too.
