Every so often I get a message on Firefox, which sometimes prevents certain sites from loading. It says  that my it can't load ] because of a disabled SSL and a lack of some security component. Once I post this and close firefox and then reopen it, I'll post the exact message.

Just WHAT is going on here, and how do I fix it?

The first message before I go beyond my google homepage, is 'Could not initialize the browser's security component.'

WTF? In options I have SSL 2.0 and 3.0 enabled....

BTT

Try the good old uninstall and reinstall of FF?

Save your bookmarks file (bookmarks.bak) and then delete the all folders involved with FireFox.  Typical windows deinstall will not remove all the folders or your problems.
