Often when posting I get in such a haste that I'll leave a word out or misspell something. Sometimes I go back and correct it using the mouse, but when I type it types over top of everthing I wrote!!!!

Because you've hit the "insert" key, which will switch it to typeover.

Dude I didnt even know there was an "insert" key. I just looked all over my keyboard and low and behold under a thick layer of stuck on dust is the words insert. Ive never pushed that key, Im sure Ive never accidentially pushed it, at least not as often as this phenomena occurs.
Q. If I push this "insert" button when the computer is doing this will it switch it back? |

The way the last line of a "quote" doesn't appear on the 'reply" screen, so you start typing the response in the middle of the "quote"
