USC - Oh WOW 3 Pete here we come.  I don't think Arkansas was that bad, it's just that SC is that good again.

UCLA - Much as I like to see them be a doormat, they looked pretty darn good today.

Stanford  beat by UC Davis , that breaks my heart.  OK it really didn't.

Who do you think is going to be #1 at the end of the year?

My shitty Miami Hurricanes managed to eke out a win.  God, I can't wait till they fire Coker...he won a championship with Butch Davis' players and then went on to prove he can't recruit for shit, and his offensive coordinator is a joke.

Nebraska Huskers eek out a 7-6 win over Dave Wannstache.

Damn...our offense needs such an infusion of talent...it's sad.  Blackshirts looking good but it's way too early to get caught up in that.  We'll know how good they are after they play Texas Tech....the same squad which hung 70 pts on them last year.  Ugh!

Buckeyes had a mixed bag in their 27-6 win over SDSU.

Defense held SDSU to 99 yrds total offense after the
first play of the game.

Offense only put up 350yds on the 105th defense.

Don't forget about ISU coming into town next week, and Barney's offense is one helluva lot more potent than anything we've seen so far.

Well, OU choked AGAIN on an unranked team.  w00t!
Texas beat the hell out of Rice, but that's kind of like clubbing baby seals.  Since I went to both schools I really enjoyed the game, but the family legacy is with the Horns.
TCU pulled out a win, and I was glad to see that.

Unless Bill gets the offense in order, the conference is going to be very rough.  The defense has been very good so far, the ST's have been superb, and our once, almost point-a-minute offense has been turned into wondering if we'll get a point-a-game.

Whats this three-pete crap?  While USC did win the last BCS Championship, LSU won the one before that.  The AP College Football "Championship" and a quarter will buy you a cup of coffee.  The only universally recognized championship is the BCS and all others are imposters.

My team is not doing too hot.

University of Tennessee just barely beat University of Alabama Birmingham, a team that was way under rated, and that hurt our rating. I think we droped from 3rd (Coaches Poll) down to the dirt.

Then we get beat by University of Florida, some of that was bad calls by the Zebras and a lot of it was unexperienced players.

Good news:  Tennessee lost
Bad news:  Florida won

I watched the game last night, and neither team looked impressive.  Tennessee basically handed the game to Florida with turnovers and stupid plays, but I'm not sure they could have even scored had the kept the ball.  And what happened to UT's O-line dominating the game?  Florida kept pressure on the Vols offense all night, and made them O-line look inexperienced.   They simply could not protect the quarterback!  Florida's offense didn't look much better, and they should give the game ball to their kicker (and defense).

Tennessee better figure out what's wrong, or it may be a long season for them.  They have a road game next week with LSU, not to mention visits to Alabama and Notre Dame (is there anyway both teams can lose that game?).  Its possible they will be underdogs in at least two of those games, if not all three.  Plus, Georgia and South Carolina are on the schedule.  It could get ugly, but I do expect Fulmer to get his team ready.  But let me tell you, a four to five loss season for UT won't hurt my feelings at all!!

Oh yeah,

GO DAWGS!!

I just cant seem to understand why they dont stick with a QB instead of switching every set. I hate to second guess Fulmer so hopefully it will work out by the end of the season.

Another Husker fan here.  We have the talent, but its too young this year (our freshman class rocks).  Also, it takes time to break in a coach from the NFL.  I was at UVA for law school when they were breaking in Al Groh.  Took about three years for him to dumb down the NFL system enough for the college kids to be able to handle it.  I'm looking for big things next year and the year after.

Bite me.  I've been a Hurricane fan since 1974 (the first time I watched a college football game).  Just because I am not a brain-dead homer who can't see his own team weaknesses doesn't make me less of a fan.  Stick your orange-colored glasses where the sun don't shine, junior.
