It's Lee-Iacocca-Pold. The Iacocca is part of the factory secret silent spelling. If you call Leupold and ask about "Lee-Iacocca-Pold" scopes you automatically get dealer pricing. |

i think americans call it "loo-pold" while europeans call it "l'yoo-pold" ("lee-yoo" said quick as one sound).
god, this is "heckler and KOCH" all over again!!! you know, for a long time i thought "trijicon" was spanish and was pronouncing it "tree-hee-kone" when it's really "trih-jih-kahn"...d'oh!

This may have some merit, depending on how the owner of the company pronounces his name. I used to work for Bianchi holsters. Growing up, I always said Bee-Yonk-Eee. Like the bicycle. I believe the name Bianchi has either an Italian or French origin. When I worked at Bianchi leather, they pronounced it Bee-Yank-Eee. Like a proper red neck should. I got edumuhcated my first day there.
