Logic and science are at the forefront of their civilization.

Did I miss anything so far?

Another question. If there are artificial gravity panels in the floors, why doesn't everyone on the deck below "fall" onto the ceiling above them?

Answer to the Vulcan question: Irrational numbers are irrelevant, as Vulcans only get pi once every seven years.

The ultimate Star Trek question is why, with all the incredible technology they have, can't they make a silent door?

They use graviton generators.. The particles are near the deck on each level...

No, no! You have to first reverse the polarity on the Bussard collectors, send Ensign Paris to the Delta Quadrant in the Delta Flyer to save a dying race before the Cardassians can engage Species 4472 in an alternate universe where the Vulcan/Romulan rift never occured because Wesley Crusher and the Traveller caused a quantum disconinuity to undergo a phase rift so Starfleet could engage the Borg at Wolf 359 during the Temporal Cold War, THEN you can implement Level III confinement protocals on the gravamatics of quantanious dementional revokenetics!]

How come when either Scotty or LeForge comes up with this great idea i.e. "I've rigged the main deflector dish that will emit a ray that will render all cloaked ships visible, can blow up any starship it hits, and as a bonus it actually creates energy!" that saves the day, the ship is back in it's original configuration the next mission?
