I have a Kodak DX7590 digital camera. I am looking for a bracket mounted flash unit to expand my camera's capability. What would the best 'bang for the buck'? Money is not a major issue but what I save on the flash will go toward my 'avoid the Coliseum at all cost' ammo fund.

By bracket mounted, does that indicate that the camera has a "hotshoe"?  I didn't think any of the kodak point and shoot types did. If so, I've been using the Quantaray 6500 & 9500 series flashes on my Nikons. Go to Ritz. If you have no hotshoe to mount it on, I don't know how you could synch the flash to the camera, much less get the right distance/exposure dedication.  Also try Kodak.com

No hot shoe on the camera, but there is a PC cable connection. Kodak.com says just plug the flash in.

When I said bracket I should have stated an 'L' bracket.
