The wattage rating on my outdoor lamp is 60 watts, I was thinking about using 26 watt CF which is equal to 100 watts for regular bulbs, is this safe/okay to do? Also I saw at Sam's Club for a 6 pack of CFs and it said electric flicker free start, does that mean instant and no slow warm up?

Thanks!

I use them in work areas, and they do take a little bit to come up to full brightness, but other than that are quite good. Have not tried them outside yet.

They cannot be used on dimmer circuits, btw.
