Hi.  A buddy at work has a makarov and needs mags and hollow point ammo.

I due to 12 hour days, working around the house and on side projects for my parents, and joining the USAF, I've been out of the gun game for a while.

I need to find one distributor with both ammo and makarov mags.  One of the engineers at work is an 01 FFL, if that helps.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks Mdye, but Makarov.com is out of ammo, and CDNN doesn't have mags or ammo.

Only place I've found is sportsmansguide...but there has to be someone better.

Why not just get .380 hollow points for, it's what i use in mine. Never had a single problem with shooting .380 out of it.

This is my first post here at AR-15!

I get my Makarov ammo at gun shows. I bought 500 rounds of Silver Bear 115gr HP for $60 at the last show. This stuff penetrates well for 9x18.

I'd like to try .32NAA if I were to switch barrels.

(Sorry, I can't help you on magazines.)

DO NOT use .380 ammo in a 9x18 mak. (unless I got to hold your beer and watch this)
They are not interchangeable.

Sportsmans guide is good, just use the coupon codes listed in the ammo forum.

There was a time when Makarov mags were on sale for less than $1 from InterOrdnance, and nice TCW  Makarov ammo in sealed tins was $100 for 1,000 rounds shipped!  This was abour 5 years back.

Um...I've seen the brass afterwards, from random shooters on the range.

9x17mm just blows out a touch.  Not reloadable, but not a case failure.

Why did so many people get their respective dick in a knot over that one?

I would also like to give my extra special thanks out to people who took no heed of the starter post nor its intent and are simply suggesting I look someplace with $33 mags or 9x19 ammo.

Will likely end up with ammo from aimsurplus and mags from........someone, if it can be done more cheaply than a single order.

www.thedealerwarehouse.com sells mags for 9.95, for sapper85 they sell .380 replacement barrels for 50.00. Definitely do a google search, I think I've seen them advertized by Sarco also.  Maks rock!!  I can CCW mine under a T-shirt.

I have it on good authority that Maks rock.  I'm really not sure why I didn't buy three when they were cheap.
