What's this shit?  Just heard on the news this morning that Chicago has joined several other cities in passing resolutions calling for the pullout of US forces from Iraq.  Is this a new thing or does this happen often?  Dunno, just rubs me wrong.

It demonstrates the stupidity of many people elected to local governments, who apparently are ticked off that the pesky Federal government has the sole authority on foreign policy.

Perhaps if the leaders of Chicago City government had solved the crime problem, the morale problem within the CPD, the housing problems, school problems, transportation problems and all the rest of the city's problems and were sitting around twiddling their thumbs it wouldn't be so offensive.

But to waste time with such a rediculous thing in light of all of Chicago's problems....That's just offensive.

Further proof of what I have said all along: Liberals are idiots. They created massive social problems in Chicago with their idiot liberal policies, and rather than deal with them they are spending their time railing against something that isn't within the domain of their authority as city officials.
