High-Powered Guns Stolen

POSTED: 11:26 p.m. EDT September 14, 2005

Indian Trail, NC -- Officers hope surveillance video from the Assault Technologies gun store in Indian Trail will lead them to two burglars who got away with at least eight firearms, including an AR-15. That is the civilian version of an M-16.

Union County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Helms told Eyewitness News police officers do not have bulletproof vests that can protect them from that kind of weapon. He told us a high-powered assault rifle is very threatening.

An owner of Assault Technologies told us things could have been worse. They removed several guns from the store to go to a gun show. If they had not been at the show, the burglars could have gotten away with several more weapons.

-----------------

contrived  hysterics emphasized

note use of "high powered", ever see the media use the term "low powered"?  Every weapon is "high powered" to them

those vests probably couldnt protect from the .17 cal Hornady round coming out of a bolt action rifle...

Today's media is anti-American. They have become a world media and do not care about the interests of this country. Why should we expect them to care about the 2nd ammendment. The only time they cry foul is when someone "infringes" on their freedom of speach.

Look, the media would call the .22lr "a round the size of the high-power 5.56mm the military uses" if they figured they could get away with it.

Are we surprised?

Sounds like the County Sheriffs need to place an order with arfcom's willing sponsors. They wouldn't want to be out-gunned by the bad guys now, would they?
