Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Storing Photographs in Plastic Tubs

I have several thousand photographs of kids, cars, houses, xmas stuff and whatever. I don't have the stones or the patience right now to put them in albums.

I have a couple of plastic Rubbermaid storage bins with seal-tight lids.  Will storing the photos in plastic hurt them? Seems I read something about this a long time ago - some damaging reactivity issue.

After we bought a  bunch of plastic tubs for our collection last winter, we were told the same thing
