Is it still going on or is it played out ?. I remember hearing that Texas still had oil, It was just too expensive to pump the remaining because of technical issues.

If expenses were the issue it seems like it might be worth it now.  ($70 per bbl)

I just was wondering, because a friend of mine is flying down to meet some investors & oil men.

They will still be pumping on my(famlies) property for the next 75 years.

We sunk a well ~10 years ago, the engineers said it was too thick to pump. We have been recently contacted (8mos ago) that they want to hydrogenate the well and pump it out. We are still in discuussions with them about building us a new road/gate to the pad site. There is still plenty of oil here was just not cost effective when it was ~$40bbl.

Oh they're pumping alright! They'll probably look into drilling offshore some more, too.
