Anyone ever heard of that game called First to Fight?  kind of like FSW except its the Marines and you actually get to have a hand in the combat?  Apparently it was modeled after a training program developed by the United States Marine Corps.  So, has anyone played it, and if so, is it worth $20?

Second on the FEAR demo if your PC can run it worth a crap.  The slow-mo and the sweet particle system ends up creating awesome firefights, crap shredding and flying all over the place.  Fun AI and such too...

One of the only games I'm actually looking forward too, I've gotten jaded or something and most games just don't impress me anymore...

Surprised no one has said BATTLEFIELD 2 yet.

Decent game, if EA would get off their asses and patch the damn thing.

Day Of Defeat : Source is going to be released via the web later this month.  It's a mod to Half-Life 2 and will eventually be in the stores with EA as the distributor.  It's one hell of a WW2 FPS shooter.

It's been out a while but Joint Ops and Escalation (its add on) are pretty fun when a bunch of people are playing.

Call of Duty!

It is THE best military simulator I have ever played, by far.  Multiplayer is totally awesome.  I've played Medal of Honor, America's Army, all the Novalogic games and several other big names.

Right now, it's Joint Ops with the Reality Mod for me. In a few months, Stargate SG-1: The Alliance comes out, and I am making daily sacrifices to various dieties so that it may not suck.

If it's the one I'm thinking of... it was supposed to be very realistic... but also very repeatitive.

Games coming out in October:

Age of Empires 3, a real time strategy game focusing on the colonization of America, Napoleanic style warfare.

Civ 4, the lastest remake of the classic turn based strategy game

Quake 4, a the sequel to the ubiquitious series using the graphically awesome Doom 3 engine

More coming out in the near future:

Black and White 2, the squel to a promising game where you play god. The original sucked donkey balls, but they might have gotten things right this time around.

Call of Duty 2, sequel to the popular WW2 FPS

Prey, an awesome looking FPS also using the Doom 3 engine

Supreme Commander -- The spiritual successor to Total Annihilation, possibly the best RTS of all time. Created by the same guy who did the original. This one looks really awesome.

apparantly you play a native american fighting against aliens or something. the preview movies looked really cool, with walking around upside on celings, on small asteroids, going through neat portals, and turning into a spirit to go through certain obstacles. It looked very interesting, and original. There is a long preview movie of it here (fileplanet though)

All I’ve played lately has been World of Warcraft. I was a bit disappointed with Battlefield 2. I never did finish DOOM 3. I should probably do that sometime since I spent the money on it. I was mildly entertained with Half-Life 2, but hated the ending. I LOVED Farcry. It was well worth the $40+ I spent on it.

I’ll have to check out this FEAR game.

All you BF2 players, do they have a decent realism/weapons damage/accuracy mod out yet?  The game has great potential but I got tired of the lackluster weapon damage and accuracy playing the demo, no way I'm shelling out for the full game w/ it like it was in the demo...  Crock of BS, it's like the old Delta Force game days (which had good damage but horrible lag) where it takes at least a half mag or more to kill people you've ambushed and should be able to kill in one-two bursts...  Hell I found myself often having to hit infantry w/ more than one round (solid hit) from the freakin 20-25mm cannons on the APCs...

Forgotten Hope is supposed to be released soon.  It is an extremely accurate/realistic WW2 mod.  Point of Existence is a much more accurate modern day mod, and it shouldnt be that far off either.

with day of defeat it's realistic damage to me. they hit you anywhere and you're dead. arm, leg, anything.

I also leaned that FF is a big issue online , they kill me all the time....whooops style
