It's about 15-20 east of Ocala in the middle of the Ocala National Forest:

Ocala Naval Reservation?

On Google Earth, you can see it when you have about half of Florida on your screen, it's that obvious.

Serious replies only, please.

Looks similiar to a blasting test facility.

It's called the Pinecastle Bombing Range here locally.  Its about 22 miles (as the crow flies) from my house.

Established by interagency agreement on the Ocala National Forest in 1951, the Pinecastle Range is the only live bombing range Department of the Navy has in the eastern United States.

Cool, 34 minutes to find out about something that's pretty obscure.  From GE, it looks like you can drive right up, true?  If not, how close can you come to it if you've ever been out there.

Thanks for the info.

No, I asked if you could and what his experience was.  OK?

I've driven up to a lot of military bases including, but not limited to: Area 51, TTR, Edwards AFB, Norad/CMAS, USAF Survival School (north of Spokane, WA), WSMR, Yuma Testing Grounds, all over KSC and CCAFS (even some of the parts you're not supposed to, like the Minuteman silo at KSC that contain Challenger parts and the old Seek Skyhook program areas).  Still here, haven't been shot at yet.  Combination of politeness, fiegned ignorance and abject apologies have kept me out of the hoosegow, hospital or morgue, so far anyway.
