Before the ban died I was told by every gun shop with pre-bans to sell told me that the AWB would never sunset. I think they had some money tied up and would rather not it end.

I was told that putting a colapsible stock on my xm-15 was a federal crime and I couldn't believe how stupid the whole thing sounded. I also noticed that 30 rd mags were about $10-$15 bucks a pop and they were all old and used. But they cost less then what they are selling for now.

I am glad that it is dead and I wanted to take a moment to piss on the grave of that stupid law and praise its death. And I wanted to remind everyone what it means to fight nannystate gun control in everyform and never let up. Its important to keep whatever is left of our right to keep and bear arms. And to never let anylaw get passed because its all meant to erode the right and when you start infridgeing on a right it keeps going and the anti-gun types will run with it as well. Look at the .50 cal ban in Commieforya. They got it banned there and they are on a high horse now because of it.

I would like to have some of our freedoms back. But I don't think it will roll back though. I think it would require nothing short of something more serious.

Thanks for reading my post.

Why is it that some states can take away rights, but others can't give?

If CA can be a douchebag and out law .50s, then ID and others should allow citizens to own M2HBs.

Seriously, it's the same either way.  The states are saying "These Federal laws just won't fly.  Let's go do our own thing."

CA should not be able to take away rights from law abiding citizens.

Most laws that come from Ca are overturned because they are to stupid. I think California should have to have the same laws as the rest of its district. It would be allot harder for liberals to ban things if they are legal in every other state around them. They would have a harder time sliming there leftists into Arizona and Nevada because they would be so far away from their home planet of California. The gun laws would be nicer out there.

I hope that John Roberts can read the constitution and overturn all liberal laws against guns.

It double posted on me. I will say that even one year after the ban ended there has been a few happy campers that I told not to buy low caps and wait a few months are still enjoying their new found love 2 or 3 more rounds. Even my brother the cop must like not haveing to have a letter stateing the caliber and model for his service pistol when getting full caps.

There should be contests to modify guns to look "extra evil" to the gun-grabbers, yet be totally legal where you reside.

That shouldn't be to hard. No matter what the gun looks like they think its evil and it should be banned.

The Kennedy partier hates bullets and think they should be banned.

There is no way the AWB will sunset. And remember, Bush said he would sign the AWB.

You guys must be delusional.

He would have signed it. But it never even got close to his desk to sign. It died in the senate and was never brought up during the congress session. The last time they looked at the issue was in 97 and was to repeal it.

I took advantage of the expiration of the federal AWB by reconfiguring one of my registered Californistan AR-15s with a pre-ban Colt upper.

That was before I lost all of my guns in a tragic ocean kayak accident, of course.

In 2001 Connecticut made its AWB permanent.

No restrictions on mags, though.

Nice guns everyone. It is nice to have a gun the way it was designed and the way that we want them. All we need now is to get rid of the NFA and we'd be set.
