What's to prevent someone from breaking into their home and then placing a few dozen cinderblocks on top to prevent the occupants from escaping?

It could then be doused with gasoline and then a match could be lit to turn their "safe area" into a crematorium.

Novel idea, but I wouldn't be caught dead inside one (no pun intended).

It appears that the entire thing runs on commercial AC power.  What's to prevent a bad guy from killing the power to the thing?  Overall, I think it's just about as stupid an idea as I've seen in a LOOOOONG time.

Looks like a death trap to me.   I wonder what the heck kindof "toiletry system"  it has and how it works.

Can someone photochop this as the Dutch Oven? I would love to have something like this for no other reason that to force my wife to smell my farts.

Onboard monkey gathers the turds and flings 'em at anybody that comes near. Needs built in floatation devices to pass code in New Orleans.

Yep, that and escaping from it in the event of a natural disaster.  Even if you survive inside the thing for a time, suffocation and dehydration will still kill you.  Would make a cute coffin, though.  ETA: says something in the details about being able to customize it with projectile weapons and tear gas.  Sounds like some tin-foil guys might like one of these

If you could afford that, you could afford a ''safe room". On the other hand, if you could afford both, it may provide another place to hide should all your security be breached and intruders were at the bedroom door. It could privide you enought time for .gov to save your bum.

Me? I prefer the Claymore 2000.

.

But the question is, is your average night time robber entering your home with a truck load of cinderblocks, some gasoline, and a pack of matches - OR - are they more likely to have a knife and/or gun?

No defense is perfect, but it looks like they are trying to find a way to keep you safer than just sleeping on a bed (especially if you're a deep sleeper).  I'm sure for the sheeple (people who can't or won't defend themselves this is an improved 'safe room'.
