Online calculator (using gear rats, rpms and tire diameter) indicates that my brother and I hit 160 while traveling to AZ last May.

That is all.

But did you factor in wind resistance?:D

BTW I hit 1440mph back in 88.

On the Concorde. My, back then, future father in law surprised me and my then fiancee with an all expense paid day trip to London for breakfast and some sight seeing (dont ask, he's an investment banker and looooaaadddeeddd). Kinda weird to be able to fly over, spend 4-5 hours in London and fly back all in one day.We flew all over that week. A day to fly from our home in Clayton, VIC (suburb of Melbourne in Australia) to LAX, stay at my cousins place for 2 days in Fallbrook, CA, fly to NYC the next , spend the night in NYC adn fly to London the next day. On the way back to Cali we stopped in Chicago to say hello to my parents for a couple days then back to cali for 2 weeks before heading back home.

Thank god this was during november. I had about 4 months before I had to fly back to the states to start racing in march (not fun having to fly back and forth every 3 weeks.

Wow.  Was that average speed?

At ground level?  200 km/hr + / 124 mph on the Shinkansen.

Tell us again how your a good and safe driver...

Remember saying this?

I've been very careful lately. I'm a pretty good driver, lots of experience for my age, and I've learned my lesson as far as speeding goes.

I had one relapse in May

Been doing pretty good, but road trips bring the worst out in me!

Route 10 at night straight as an arrow and no cars. The slow lane is 100 plus.

Nah, I don't mention it much.

But when people like to talk about how fast they've driven, I like to point out that I have gone just as fast......in a farm implement.
