At what barrel length and distance will 5.56 55gr FMJ become ineffective against Level X body armor?

Will a 11.5" barrel still be effective up to 50 yards? A 20" barrel at 200 yards?

ETA: X is a VARIABLE. There is no LEVEL X body armor. Substitute your own Level I, II, or III experience please.

I have never seen a test, but I assure you that it will work to hundreds of yards. A .22 magnum can sometimes penetrate a level 2A vest at close range.
