I came into posession of an AR15 drop in conversion kit, .22LR.  It replaces the bolt/carrier assy just like my military M-261 kit, but it won't allow a standard AR15 mag to be inserted into the rifle.  It has a buffer built into the rear unlike the M-261.  It takes a different magazine which I don't have.

Any ideas on who made this thing, and where I can find a mag?

Thanks!

It sounds like you have a Ciener conversion kit.  Look up Arthur J. Ciener online.  They'll have the info.

It's not a Ceiner, the recoil spring is on the right hand side of the unit.

Call Ciener, I think he improved the conv. kit, and put name in on a hyphen, and I think they take the same mags.

Thanks for the tip!

I think I will just sell it as is.  I dealt with him at Knob Creek in the past........and let's just say he will never get a dime from me!

That's too bad too, I wanted to keep this one.
