Not here, not by me anyways.  I like Cornyns plan because unlike Bush's Amnesty Worker Plan, they can only apply from outside the US.  They're aren't being rewarded with being here illegally already.  The strongest point is that it provides for worksite enforcement to keep people from hiring illegals.  I think it would be an more manageable task to eliminate the reason and motive for them to come here illegally.  If employers could hire the same people at the same pay, but do it legally without fear of fines, we would see less and less of them over time.

That's got to be 10 or 12 percent of the total population.  Quite impressive.

Not at all. I found it surprising that there are so many illegal immigrants. I believe the article said there were around 17 million illegals in the US as of 2004.

I met a couple of the legal ones today.  He teaches Physics and she works a medical office.  I fully support that kind of immigration.  They are adding to America!
