Forgive me if this is already widely known.  I thought it was interesting.  I tried a couple searches but did not see it (at least in the last three months).

Small Arms Review says the HK XM8 was excluded from the SCAR competition because it was a "government partnership" and the HK416 was excluded because of Colt's M4 lawsuit.  The article also talked a lot about problems with the M4.  Anything to all that?
