Maybe you LEOS already know this, but I didn't until today.
I learned that if you see the term "420 Friendly" in a roommate ad or anywhere else it means: pot smoker friendly (marajuana/dope/weed/ganga/tambi). It seems that April 20th is that national pot-smoking day, and "420 Friendly" has become the term for weed smokers to identify each other. Maybe you all knew this, but I never got that memo. Interesting....    |

I believe the 420 came from the police codes, a 420 was a possession of pot code. Sortta went from there. |

"Police Codes" (Penal Codes) are different in every state. There may be a state where 420 is the code for possession of marijuana I do not know. "187" tends to mean Murder all around the Country (It is the California Penal Code section for Murder) I am guessing other states have other Codes. In California H&S 11357(b) is the code for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. |

I thought 420 was the former California penal code section for marijuana possession, kinda like 502 was the former section for DUI, which changed about 1959 or so.
