I'm watching the Three Stooges Meet Hercules on AMC right now.

I left out Curly Joe DeRita who was the 6th and last stooge, because there is only one true Curly.

I can't stand Joe. I won't watch a skit with him in it at all. He's too girly. Curly is the man.

Curly Howard

Birth name
Jerome Lester Horwitz
Nickname
Babe

Jerome "Curly" Howard, the rotund, bald Stooge with the high voice was the most popular member of the Three Stooges. His first stage experience was as a comedic conductor for the Orville Knapp Band in 1928. Curly joined the Three Stooges in 1932, replacing his brother Shemp Howard. He made more than 100 film appearances with the team before a massive stroke on the set of Half-Wits Holiday (1947) forced him to retire. He recuperated enough to appear in Hold That Lion (1947) (1947) and hoped to eventually return to the team. But another series of strokes deteriorated his health until he died at the age of 48.

You forgot Joe DeRita, aka "Curly Joe."  Not that he'd get many votes anyway, but he was better than Besser.    Oops, just saw your post. here's a pic anyway.

And some people say Americans don't have culture!

Curly was the center of attention when there was anything going on.

Larry's deadpan, pained delivery cracked me up, too.

Curly with Ted Kennedy coming a close second.

Larry has him moments though.

Curly - Kind of a no-brainer isn't it?

However, the later Stooge episodes had more sophisticated production values.  This led to the "Shemp paradox".  That is; Shemp was actually in some of the better stories.  The "Murder Castle" (I forget the actual title) comes quickly to mind and there were a good number of others.

Curly by far is the best stooge

I liked Larry.  He seemed the most "normal" of the group having to put up with the rest.  Moe was too much of a jerk, and Curly was too much of an idiot -- not that any of them were rocket scientists.

Curly was my fav but he would have failed as a one man act.  It was the three of them working together that made them great.  With all the singing, dancing and physical stuff, they had great timing. They may be the best comedy team of all time.  When you've seen something 100 times and still laugh when you see it again, that's funny.  All with no bad language and no skin.  Could anyone do that today?  Those guys were good.
