Dude just shot a cow in the head with a shotgun!
Its ammusing. I am laughed a few times. You take it off any sweet jumps? Does it get better? |
if you are high.................................... JK - it's a movie most people hate. I endured it with my teenage daughters, who think it is the greatest thing since cordless phones. |
Great movie. Seems 50% of people love it, the other 50% hate it. [edit] I have my own personal theory about the people who like this movie. THEORY: If you loved the movie Armageddon, you will hate Napolean Dynamite. |
What about everybody else? |
"I caught you a delicious bass." |
Sorry.... I love both. |
The other 50% was in Alaska hunting wolverines, what do you think?? Gosh... |
Uh oh. I "liked" Armageddon. Did not love it, but I liked it. |
What gun did they use? |

Best thing MTV ever produced! - REALLY.
This movie is sweet on many levels. The unpopular kids actually have a life, and the need for skills is emphasized. Yes, it is slow here and there, but the target audience was certainly not a bunch of ARFCOMMERS. |
a frickin 12 gauge, gosh... |

Impossible!!! Oh well, just a theory .... nothing I was really attached to, but it seemed to work with everyone I know ... |
A frikkin 12 gauge! |

While school clothes shopping for my son, my wife bought him a white t-shirt from the 'Naploean Dynamite Collection" (or something similar). On the front it has in larger red lettering: PEDRO The first time I saw it I laughed for minute. Still chuckle evertime I see it .. |

This thread should go 30 pages. Really is a good movie.
Kip, a Cage fighter? Lafonda? |
If you stick out through the whole movie... watch through the end credits.
Gotta agree with mjohn3006... the time machine is the best part! |
My GF brought it over on DVD last weekend, swearing it was great. I liked it but "great" is a tad overstated.
I thought it was perty dam gud! As for the asteroid movie: decent acting, good action, over-used plot, and get rid of that skank with the uuuugly mouth! She's only better looking than her barftard dad from the neck down! Vote For Pedro!!
Grandma called. She wants you out of the house because you've been ruining everones lives and eating all our steak.
Bow to your sensei! Take a look at me people, do you think anyone would want a roundhouse kick to their face from someone wearing these bad boys? |
Well it just ended and its rolling credits...I am waiting for the extras people mentioned.
Tina Majorino is her name. The kid from Waterworld grew up into a 20-year-old cutie, didn't she?

I just blew your theory I LOVED Armageddon and also really like Napoleon Dynamite. For you Napoleon haters out there there is one simple explanation for not liking this movie; you are teh ghey. No just kidding... The REAL reason some of us like this show is that we have either SEEN it or LIVED it. I live in Utah and grew up in Idaho Falls and I am surrounded by Napoleons every day. Every school has this one off-kilter yet relatively harmless kid. Napoleon taps into this and when I watch napoleon I see shades of people I knew growing up and full on mirror images of people I see wandering the streets in Utah every day. That's why it's funny. Nothing more, nothing less. I wouldn't expect someone who grew up in LA or Boston or NY to find it funny unless they had known people like that. When Napoleon goes to the dance it was like watching video of this dance I got buffaloed into attending in Arco ID one time. For those who don't know, Arco is a true one stoplight town and it was one of the most surreal experiences I've ever had. on the way home late at night I did get to see two of the biggest mule deer I've ever seen in my life at the secret government nuclear installation though. That was pretty sweet. Oh and I saw like, 50 wolverines too. |

My rating. One thumb up. It has its moments. I am glad to now "get" some of the quotes that have been running around ARFCOM. No moments that pissed me off. Nothing that made me go WTF. Not inspiring and not over the top funny, but funny enough to say that I enjoyed it and it was not a complete waste of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Now if you will excuse me, I am going to go cook myself a delicious bass. |

"Yes I love technology, but not as much as you you see, but I still love technology, always and forever, always and forever" |
So now I have switched to my next movie on this "NetFlix Weekday" Up Next. Collateral.
Only reason for this is because of the own3d scene that was posted here a few months ago. |
Collateral is an undeniably terrific movie, from an ARFCOM perspective. I like Napoleon Dynamite because it is completely different than any other movie I have ever seen. |
+1 "Yo homey! That my breifcase?" |
Collateral is an excellent movie. Being the first movie that Tom Cruise plays the bad guy in, he did quite well. Watch for the irony scene, most people miss it even though it is obvious.
i dunno, I think Beavis and Butthead Do America is the best thing MTV ever produced
I can't quite tell what happens in the club scene.
Does Max save Vincent's life? If so, why? |
Everytime I see that kid, I have an urge to stick a hatchet in the back of his head.
Does that make me weird? |
No, Vincent saves Max. The Mexican with the laser sight is targetting Max, so Vincent kills him, even though he is threatening Max with death throughout the movie. |
Approximately 25 seconds of Napoleon Dynamite was funny. The rest was trash.
The mexican is there to see that the Asian guy gets whacked, sent form the guy that gave Max the new data. But he thinks Max is Vincent. Vincent saves Max because he intends to kill him in the end and make it appear that all the murders were his doing. What's the irony. Cracker likes Jazz but the black guy doesn't? |
