Just letting yall know I am alright and I will be home from Iraq Sept 18th, only to find half my town (mandeville 20mi north of NO) destroyed. (My house is safe though woohoo)

Glad to hear from ya again. Yeah, they had some serious problems in your home state there, the state & local govts thought they were out of the wood after Katrina blew thru, but unfortunately on Aug 29 at around 0400, the levee broke and all hell broke loose, at least in NOLA. Let us know when you're stateside.

My dad is a survivalist kinda guy, has a generator going, refrigertors running, been chainsawing trees out of the road and had all my guns loaded and stashed around the house. He keeps telling me it was all the idiots that didnt prepare that are in so much trouble now. I hope things have somewhat normalized when I get back dont want to go from a warzone to a warzone.

My dad is sleeping on a couch in our house with my M1014 under it and my Jericho on a table next to him. Too bad my Colt 614 didnt get to him in time, (It is a little present to myself I am picking up from the class 3 guy asap when I get back.
