I started playing BlackJack on Betus.com.  I started out with $200 now I have $800.  I have some bets on football this weekend and thats why I even go to this site.  I guess the real proof in the pudding will occur when I try to pull my money out.

Heck yeah!  Gambling is an easy way to get out of debt and even make your retirement money!  I don't know why everybody doesn't do it.

eta The fish is ony supposed to see the bait.  Never the hook.

I agree that its not a foolproof way of making some bucks but its for entertainment.  The secret is knowing when to stop.  But the football bets are what I am good at. I usually pick about 2-3 games and thats it.  The Patriots really did well for me last year.  I bet against my alma mater because although they win they win ugly and rarely cover the spread.

Wow,

Its open now for the games this week.

Green Bay  -3
Indy -3

Those are my 2 picks and should at least break even.  The Lions suck and Farve should light them up.  Manning should also have a easy time getting some scores up.

ETA The PATs are -7.5 but they dont play well early in the year and I am not sure how they will respond with both their coordinators gone. Belichek will pull it together but I am not sure how his assistants will perform.

Apparantly the girlfriends dad won $3k playing poker yesterday and another $10K today by winning a tournament.

Me?  I should quit as soon as I win $1.

... and your state taxes, and watch out, some states don't let you net out your losses.

I know a guy who played online poker several hours a night for a few months, and was dumb(honest?) enough to declare it on his taxes. He had to pay on all of his winning hands without regard to how much he lost, so in the end even though he was up $1000 after a couple of months, he ended up losing money after he paid his taxes.

How do the odds go?  You pick a 2 team bet and they both need to come through right?

i play online poker (playing right now) and in the casino. i have 2 online accounts that gave free $10 and $15 to try out the site. ive run the accounts up to $100+ and $400. one site is still running the free $10 promo its crazypoker.com, no deposit neccessary. my tactic is to grind out $5 and $10 here and there. ill buy into a table for $5 and when i get up to $10 or more i bail out. if i lose the $5 im gone too. my biggest online hits were $1000 poker jackpot and 2 x $1000 sports winners, one of the $1000 wins i didnt even risk any money. i played both sides of the game, pushed one side and hit the other. i also have 2 friends that play sports online but only play both sides of the game and never risk losing their money, thats all they do, no job and their doing well. my biggest hit ever was $3600 hitting a bad beat poker jackpot in reno. I LOVE TO GAMBLE, im asian.......

Ask him if he keeps a total of everything he purchases on the internet so he can kick in state sales tax.

I was up an additional $280 for a total of $880. Gave most it back and won some of it back. Now the pot is $680 on the positive side.  I just requested that they send me a check.  We will see if they actually do. Also they gave me $140 in free play but I dont know how to access that yet.
