CNN just had video of it lying on it's side. Looked like a H-19, Coast Guard colors.
Edit, after seeing the pic, what I just posted is totally wrong. |

No, it doesn't look like USCG colors. It has ONE color in common, orange.

From the pics posted in the first thread, it looks like a Cougar. I highly doubt a Blackwater chopper would be bright orange anyway.

I was just talking about this with my folks at dinner i was amazed there has not been more crashes
copters seem to crash often in good conditions and this is far from it and there sure are quite a few down there running 24/7 |

After reading the other post on this and news reports I'd have to say:
1. It's not CG 2. It's probably a Cougar. 3. It's not an oilfield chopper, none are painted that color down there. 4. Bush caused it to crash.

NOT Coast Guard...................CG Helos are white with Orange or CG Ice Breaker Helos are Orange ALL have the CG racing Stripe...........................no news on cause tho..............................
