Just flashed on the news on Fox. Says that police in NO shot and killed 5 people carrying guns. Not much discussion as to where or when. Just that it happened.

If the police shot 5 armed looters, no problem. If the police shot five people merely because they had guns, that's a problem.

I hope it was bad guys carrying guns, and not good guys carrying guns. Don't assume it was looters. It could have been citizens carrying for self-defense purposes, and didn't want their guns confiscated.

At this juncture I will give the officers the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully it will turn out to be a situation where the people who were killed were gangbangers, not ordinary citizens trying to protect themselves.

I didn't hear anything about Blackwater personnel, all I heard was a levee repair contractor reported that some of their folks were killed on a bridge. Doesn't sound good.
