'The primary means of hurricane evacuation will be personal vehicles. School and municipal buses, government-owned vehicles and vehicles provided by volunteer agencies may be used to provide transportation for individuals who lack transportation and require assistance in evacuating'...

The idea, is to deploy them BEFORE the storm makes land fall.  During the MANDATORY EVACUATION.  Did you even read the post?

I'm being nice here, BIGB1129.

Let's see.......about 270 buses in the picture.  40 people per bus +/-......say about 10000 people per trip.  Estimate 4 hours per round trip and evacs starting 4 days before Katrina means he could have rescued about 250,000 people.

HE IS THE NATIONAL DISGRACE!

You've noticed.  They are all trying to deflect criticism towards Washington and Bush to hide the GROSS MALFEASANCE of the Mayor and Governor of Louisiana.  They should be brought before the bench for their obvious incompetance and gross malfeasance.

Learn to read and use your critical thinking skills. The mandatory evac was before the hurricane hit.

Compare that with that kid they showed who took a bus and some people and got out.  Then they were wondering if he should "face charges."  Hell, ,they should get him to draw a map, and then give him a medal.  He got people out like the NO governemnt officials should have.  No questions would have been neeeded: they buses belonged to the city or parish.
