I like to put hot sauce on just about everything I eat.  This morning while eating a breakfast burrito, I went to the fridge and pulled out my trusty 1-liter bottle of Crystal Louisianna hot sauce.  I noticed on the label that it's made in New Orleans.

This could be really bad, because I can't live without my Crystal hot sauce!  It's soooo much better than Tobasco and just about every other brand!!!!

Anyway, this post is just a heads up to all you hot sauce lovers out there.  It might be a good while until they get their factory back up and running, so you better get to the super market and stock up!

I can't believe there are more people who like Tobasco than Crystal.  Crystal is far superior!

Hot sauces are like wines.  I don't use the same one with every dinner.  If I were to list them in order of amount used it would be:

Cholula
The Original "Lousiana" Hot Sauce (I have no idea if it is the original or not, but it is what is available where I live, and it's pretty good.  Made in New Iberia, LA)
Jose Goldstein Roasted Garlic and Chipotle Hot Sauce (Good stuff, has to be refrigerated after opening though)
Jack Daniels Jalapeno Hot Sauce
Jack Daniels Habanero Hot Sauce
Assorted Thai/Chinese chili pastes/sauces
Tabasco

Dave's Insanity

Tobasco for general use like pizza and eggs
Frank's for hot wings
Tapatio for tacos and burritos
Crystal is good on just about anything from seafood to hot wings

Franks rules for me. I eat it on eggs to nearly everything else.

I'm at half a bottle. I need resupply, ASAP!!!

I used to do Tobasco, but Franks has a better flavor. Found it when I started making my own hot wings.

The type of sauce I use depends on what I'm cooking / eating.

Tabasco is awesome when you want flavor without a lot of color.

Franks is my preferred "general purpose" sauce, as it's milder and adds some color.

Dave's Insanity.  I'm tired of it though.  I like the habanero-based sauces.

Franks or Texas Pete. I will not eat scrambed eggs, corn muffins, collards, or fried chicken without it.

Say it isn't so! I use lots of different hot sauces, but the one I had tonight is The Original Bulliard's Louisiana Hot Sauce. Says St. Martinville, LA on the label. Do I need to run to the store tomorrow and stock up?

I use a lot of Tabasco, also a lot of Blaire's in various flavors (3am, 2am etc.)  sudden death, after death etc.

Avery Island is IMMUNE from hurricane effects.  IIRC, they are 161 feet above sea level.  Quite an island.  Damn near a mountain in lower LA.

You mean Crystal brand Louisianna hot sauce, right?  Are we on the same page?

A lot of you guys seem to care only about HEAT, not FLAVOR.  Crystal sauce is the best!!!  This is a fact and not opinion!

I've got a friend in MS that makes the best hot sauce.  Puts nothing but peppers (7 kinds) in it.  Has better flavor than any listed here and makes the heat of any Tabasco look very mild.  But if I'm buying, it's either the regular Tabasco or the Habenero Tabasco.  Both have good flavor.
