They are trying to restore order. As things come together, people moved in place, other agencies will come in and take over certain areas.

This has been my first week at a shitty, shitty job that I cannot stand in a city an hour's drive away (meaning a tank-and-a-half of 93 octane a week), and your post has been the first thing all week to make me laugh. Thanks.

Rumor is that FEMA just pulled out of Slidell because they heard a gunshot. There have been at least one killing over a generator by thugs. These asshats are resisting assistance (read as little dick syndrome) from qualified personnel (one a bench judge volunteering from another parish)
