I posted this the other day in the vets forum and am not getting much of a response.  Probably because most of the people in the Alexandria-Leesville-Ft Polk area have much more important stuff to do.  I’m hoping that somebody here has heard from someone in that area, or has acquired info from any other source.  All I’ve been able to find out so far is that gas is in short supply at Ft Polk.  Anyway . . .

Next week (7 Sept) I’ll be driving from Little Rock, AR to Ft Polk, LA (work related). Does anybody here have any info on what conditions are like in the Ft. Polk/Leesville area? Road conditions, gas availability?  Electricity? Is base billeting maxed out with evacuees? I need to get in contact with the Army unit I’m working with at Polk to find out if the conference I’m going to is even still on.  Thanks!!
