Has anyone else been traveling and noticed the lack of tanker trucks on the highways?

I have been on the road since Wednesday, and I bet I didn't see a total of 3 trucks in the last 2 of  days. Plenty of "food grade" tankers, but no fuel trucks.

Any of you guys hauling fuel for a living? What is going on?

I just saw one broken down on the roadside about ready to be towed. Looked funny seeing a tiny truck hooked up to tow the big fuel tanker.

Tanker trucks are short haul.  From the pipeline terminal to the retail outlets.

For most areas, this means trips of less than 50 miles.

Since the stations are very crowded with all the wankers filling up their cans, most deliveries are during off hours.
