It seems as of late, that threads are being locked for no good reason and the moderator that locked mine doesnt accept IM's. What's the problem?

Maybe you can answer 82ndAirbrn why you locked this thread?

That one was locked for overt racist content.

Much of the locking these past few days has been for uber dupage, racism and advocating illegal activies (shooting at cops).

just found the thread.

for the record, mods have been run ragged over the last 2 -3 days. please cut us a bit of slck if we appear a bit punchy and trigger happy right now.

I would just like an explanation of what was a deragatory racist comment, becuase I dont see any. The COC was being followed in that thread.

i've had that happen when i fingerchecked a user name. i have also had the system insert a wrong character in a user name occasionaly. no telling. if you ever have that happen with a mod or staff IM retry it. we all have ours on. it's pretty much a job requirement.

as for the thread. i am checking with 82nd soon as he responds. i will say it was iffy depending on who you ask. what's racial to me isn't necessarily to another. touchy subject during a touchy time pretty much will get it locked by someone.

Seriously guys the mods are beat down and tired right now. we are doing the best we can.

I had one locked and Trashed today - it contained a lame gig at troll Ineedhelp's taunt at folks driving gas guzzlers, plus one response with the troll icon.

Probably a borderline CoC nudge. Had the potential to become a violating thread, but only if other posters upped the intensity.

The tread wasn't locked for "no reason" the dumbest person on the planet knows that for a fact.

You've already posted one whambulance thread calling out 82nd - which got locked pretty quickly with a warning that we don't call out people even if you can't work out the IM function. What makes you figure that this second bitch post won't get locked too for the exact same reason the first thread did?
