Friend down the hall called me down to look out his window. Saw a really, really long train loaded down with military vehicles in tan paint. Saw about a dozen Bradley's, two or three Abrams, a couple recovery tanks, and a whooooooole crapload of amphibious trucks, humvees, flatbeds, generator trucks (and trucks with towed generators and what looked like big propane tanks, probably full of water and filtration equipment)), apc's (including some M113's), and a bunch of open-top apc's with the medical cross emblazoned on the side, I mean a LOT of medical vehicles.

I bet him five bucks it was the National or Texas Guard on their way to New Orleans. He didn't take the bet.

He also told me that it was about the third such convoy he'd seen go past the college on the railroad tracks.
