Are there bears where you are going? If so, you might want a long gun or bigass revolver. Long guns are better for two legged pests as well.

Yes we do have bears.. But the Cougars have been more of a prob this year. Covered!!! Either a Ruger 44 carbine or a hk91.. As for the comments about it the 10mm working.. It works quite well, and is far from stock!

.45 makes a big hole in the two-legged critters, but I'd want that extra oomph for furry woodland creatures. |

10mm with some doubletap ammo. It blows the 45 away.
