And the wife offered no resistance. We were watching the ~~warzone~~ disaster on TV and all those ~~nutjobs~~ poor people and I said that I was going to go get some bullets. Her reply.....................Take my car and save some gas in the truck.

WOW! I expected a little comment on how I didn't need anything or how we need to save money.

I hear ya... I have started a SHTF checklist (I should have had this anyway). I started thinking about what we would need in a similar situation in N.O. and the biggest thing that would be a problem is being able to store enough water. I think I'll start cheking out the survival forum.

I bought some boxes of Federal Ball ammo yesterday (the cheap stuff), and not only was the brass very discolored, but one round looked like someone hit it with a hammer on the side. I replaced the Federal with the better ammo, to be on the safe side.

1000 more 5.56 and 200 .45 ACP and 550 .22 caliber yesterday. I felt a little better after the purchase had been finalized. only a little better though...

If I used 3600 rounds there ~~would~~ should be plenty of battle field pickups available around the house assuming I'm not dead by then. I feel weird because I look forward to that actually happening
