Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Shipping firearms to your self state to state

Hey y'all,

I know I could probably dig this info up myself, but I'm on a 28.8 connection and the hive mind would be much more resourceful than me doing it alone on this 1992 technology....

If I have a firearm that is in my possesion at say my parents house in one state, can I ship it to my home address in my home state.  The firearm belongs to me so this isn't a transfer between two people.  Both states are gun friendly (it's not going to NJ or anything).  Anyone have a link to the law or such?

Also, is FedEx or UPS the one to use to ship a longgun (gun in question is an ARF, of course ).
